So you are preparing for a solo show?
Congratulations!! That’s an honor and you totally deserve it.
The burden of creating a volume of work can be totally so overwhelming that strategizing to market your work never gets done. Turns out there is a lot of generic information about having an art show online but much of it is dated, not helpful in an age of online shoppers and social media.
The hard truth is that the artist needs to not only work on the show pieces but to also invest in creating an experience for the viewer and marketing that experience.
If you are working with a gallery, you may be set up for success. The gallery may have great marketing and reliable clients. However many are not skilled at marketing. A studiomate of mine drove hundreds of miles for a solo show offered to her by a gallery only to find that they had not marketed, and the show was unsuccessful. Not one piece of her wonderful work sold even afterwards. So tragic!
I don’t want ANY artist to ever be in that situation!!! It breaks my heart.
So I created a resource - an ebook - that saves you lots of time so that you can focus on creating the beautiful work that will be the star of the show. It will walk you through the steps you need to take to make your show a success. This is the information I wish I had had for my first solo show!
