I’m happy to introduce this new painting called, “A Healing Garden". It’s my first large painting of 2025. And it’s square which is a bit unusual for my work.

When I was a little girl, I had bedding with a green background covered in little pink flowers — the flowers looked like single little strokes of a tiny paintbrush and I stared at them for hours.I loved that pattern and those colors.. I even had a canopy bed with the canopy made from it for a while. Anyone else have a canopy bed growing up?

The colors of that bedding are the colors I used here — rich but muted, strong but quiet, for me soothing, healing and full of vitality. Let me know if it speaks to you.
